Commercial, Loss Runs

Updated over a week ago

To get access to Commercial Policies, you will need to be either on the Agency Duo or Agency Complete plan.

Commercial policies can be complex. Obtaining all the necessary information for quoting often requires contacting the current agent, which can be time-consuming. However, Canopy Connect simplifies this process by gathering most of the information quickly and easily, without the need to contact the current agent.

The information collected for our commercial lines includes, but is not limited to:

  • Business Owner Policy Data (Insured names, Policy Start/End dates, EIN, Address and Phone Number)

  • Commercial Auto Policy Data (Policy numbers, Coverages, Premiums, Limits, Deductions)

  • Vehicle Information (VIN, Annual Mileage, Ownership Type, Lien Holder, Vehicle Usage)

  • Building Data (Construction Type, Square footage, Parking Spaces)

  • Property Value Data (Assessed Values, Market Values, Ownership Details)

  • Homeowner and Auto Policies (Coverages, Limits, Premiums, Policy Details, Claims history)

  • Loss Runs (Preliminary loss run PDFs showing dates, type of loss, amount paid, etc.)

  • Workers Compensation Policy Data and Multi-Peril Policy Data

Loss Runs:

Loss runs provide details of loss events in the commercial space, similar to claims/incidents in personal lines. Gathering this information can be a challenge for agents and prospects, as it typically requires a direct request to their current agent and can take days. With Canopy Connect, we provide a preliminary loss run document in the same amount of time it takes to retrieve all other policy information.
