This article provides ready-to-use talking points for explaining Canopy Connect to prospects, along with security details for admins and agents.

For prospects:

What is Canopy Connect?

Canopy Connect lets you securely retrieve information from your own insurance accounts and share it with your agent. By linking your insurance accounts, you enable your agent to access the key details they need to tailor advice for you. The process uses bank-grade encryption and takes under 30 seconds.

Is Canopy Connect safe to use?

Yes. Canopy Connect uses some of the most advanced security and encryption methods available to safely connect to your insurance account.

Why does Canopy Connect ask to connect to my insurance account?

When you sign into your insurance account through Canopy Connect, it creates an encrypted connection between your insurance company and your agent. This is safer and easier than pulling information from your insurance documents and typing it into an email.

How secure is Canopy Connect?

Canopy Connect never shares your login or password information with any third party. The following measures are in place to protect your information:

  • Data Encryption β€” Your data is protected at all times with 256-bit AES encryption at rest and TLS 1.2+ in transit. View our A+ SSLLabs report here.

  • Proven Infrastructure β€” Canopy Connect uses the same Amazon Cloud Infrastructure that powers companies like Netflix, Airbnb, Expedia, Samsung, and McDonald's.

  • Independent Security Testing β€” Canopy Connect holds SOC 2 Type 2 Certification, with third-party testing and external auditors continuously evaluating the platform.

For admins and agents:

How safe is my prospect's information?

All user data is encrypted end-to-end, both at rest and in transit, using 256-bit AES encryption at rest and TLS 1.2+ in transit.

Canopy Connect is SOC 2 Type II certified. This means an independent auditor evaluated the product, infrastructure, policies, and governance over an extended period and certified that Canopy Connect meets or exceeds the highest enterprise-level standards of security and compliance.
